Know these National Emblems
- Ashok Stambh had been adopted as the National Emblem of India on January 26, 1950. It is used in government papers and in currency notes.
- Karnataka Khadi Gramodyoga Sanyukta Sangh in Hubli has the rights of making Tri colour. The flag cannot be made by any other institution. The largest Tricolour (90X60 feet) has been hoisted at Connaught Place, New Delhi.
- The National Motto 'Satyamev Jayate' has been taken from Mundaka Upanishad. It had been first translated into Hindi and Urdu by an Army Officer Abid Ali in 1911. This motto was selected by Indian education expert and politician Madan Mohan Malviya.
- The National Anthem 'Jana Gana Mana' was first written in Bengali language by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. It is based on Raag Alhiya Bilawal. It became the National Anthem of India on January 24, 1950.

- Hindi had been declared the National language on January 26, 1965.
